There are three main routes, Glasgow-Crianlarich-Oban, Crianlarich-Fort William and Fort William-Mallaig in the West Highland line. After checking the train routes and timetables, Piching planned to give up to Oban and go to Fort William for check-in directly. They didn't know they would face most of seats reserved to Fort Willaim even they advanced the time to take the train. In the beginning, they decided to sit in To-Oban carriage and change to Fort William carriage when they arrived at Crianlarich.(At least, they didn't need to stand such long.)
看過火車路線圖及時刻表，西高地主要分成三段路線：格拉斯哥-Crianlarich-奧班、Crianlarich-威廉堡、威廉堡-瑪雷格，原本考量火車班次少及銜接時間問題，打算放棄到奧班的線，直接到威廉堡Check-in及造訪那裡就好。沒想到提前上火車搶座位，卻遇到往威廉堡的兩節車廂座位幾乎都被預訂，只好暫時坐在幾乎沒人預定及人潮也比較少的往奧班車廂，打算到Crianlarich車體分離時換車廂(至少就不用站很久)。

There is only one run of train in West Highland line on Sunday and are three runs in the other days. Trains with four carriages departing from Glasgow will be parted in Crianlarich. Front two carriages will be bound for Oban and rear two carriages will be bound for Fort William(or Mallaig). Please pay attention on the noticeboard in the platform. Also, the conductor will double check every passenger's destination. On the other hand, it will be necessary to change trains in Crianlarich if you want to take trains from Oban to Fort William(or Mallaig) or Fort William(or Mallaig) to Oban.
Another way to save time is to take Citylink bus, you can enjoy the different view from the train route's.

西高地路線火車星期日只有一班，其餘時間有三班，火車總共有四節車廂，從格拉斯哥發車到Crianlarich站時，前後兩節會分離，前兩節往奧班，後兩節往威廉堡(及瑪雷格)，實際情況請依據月台公告為主，車掌也都會很熱心的向每位乘客一一確認目的地。反之，從奧班及威廉堡(或瑪雷格)發車的火車會在Crianlarich接合起來，繼續往格拉斯哥方向行駛。如果要從奧班去威廉堡(或瑪雷格)或威廉堡(或瑪雷格)去奧班就需要在Crianlarich等待換車。
另一節省時間的方式即是搭乘Citylink的公車，同時可欣賞有別於火車路線的不同風景。
They had a sudden whim to follow the destiny to Oban. They didn't need to care of the train fee because they had the BritPass. They could go anywhere any time. They merely went to Fort William behind schedule. It was a good decision to follow the intuition. They met a super enthusiastic conductor in the train. When he checked passengers' ticket, he would make small talk and do some introduction for everyone's destination. When he found Pigen took a single-lens reflex camera, he brought him to his rest room with open window and let Pigen freely shot there. He also announce him many worthy views in advance. While the train arrived in Crianlarich, Pigen and Piching tried to say goodbye to him. Aha! He was responsible for the Oban line and his home town was in Oban as well!! 心血來潮地，兩豬突然改變心意，決定就跟著命運安排前往奧班，反正國鐵卷任意搭，晚點再去報到威廉堡就好。而這個直覺的安排真是選對了，火車上遇見一位超 級熱心的車掌，沿路驗票時，都會跟每位乘客講好多事情，看見P根拿了台單眼相機，還特地讓出他的休息位置給P根拍照，沿路還一一介紹、預告何時會出現什麼 景點，原本以為在Crianlarich分離點時，就要跟他說再見，沒想到他是負責往奧班線的，啊哈！原來他老家就在奧班呀！
(下面P根頭上有個路名指示為DUNCRAGGAN RD. 音譯起來就是惇垮拉根路，特別拍照以茲紀念。)
Oban was a lovely town with beauty. There were free poster-size map with watercolor tecture outside some shops. It was too beautiful so Pigen and Piching got one more copy home for decorating their future house. Residents were very friendly when we were going to miss the way to McCaig's Tower, they actively gave us the direction. 奧班是個可愛的美麗城鎮，一些商店外，有提供免費的水彩質感地圖，因為太美麗了，P根與P青便多拿一份，打算帶去未來新家作布置用。走去麥克依格塔時，附近居民十分友善，見我們快走過頭了，趕緊主動報路、指方向。
Walking along the sea shore to Dunollie Castle, there were many hotels by the side of the road. Many tourists were lying on deck chairs outside the hotels facing the ocean and enjoyed the sunbath.沿著海岸線走去唐諾利廢墟時，整條公路旁都是旅館，許多旅客都恣意地躺在旅館外的躺椅上，面朝海洋享受陽光浴。
(P.S. 唐諾利廢墟是私人財產，並未開放觀光，如果旅客要前往造訪，該廢墟主人不作任何意外風險承擔。)Why didn't Piching arrange a night in Oban? That's because she didn't plan to visit Oban in the beginning!!
為何P青當初沒有安排在這裡過夜呢？因為一開始就打算放棄這條線了呀！
